A: A dial-up account is the most basic type of connection to the Internet. Using a modem that is linked with your computer and a phone line, you are able to connect to the Internet by calling a designated number.
Q: How can I get my own web page?
A: All WINS dial-up plans come with 10 mb of web space to house your
personal website. Click here for tips on
creating your site. If your site needs to be larger than 10 mbyou will need to upgrade to a commercial website plan. WINS currently does not offer hosting for commercial websites.
Q: How can I access the Internet when I am out of town?
A: WINS has more than 400 access numbers across the country and we also offer an 800 number for other areas. Please contact Customer Service at 1-800-876-4351 to enable 800 service.
Q: How can I pay my bill?
A: WINS accepts payments by check, Visa, Mastercard or Discover. We can also enroll you in one of our automatic payment options. Please call our office for details 800/876.4351.
Q: How can I stop receiving spam and virus emails?
A: Greymail virus/junk email filtering comes with your service. To adjust your settings go to WINS home page, www.winco.net, and click on "GreyMail - Virus/Junk Email".
Q: How can I check email when I am away from home?
A: WINS offers an Internet site which you can check and send email while away from home. Go to the WINS home page, www.winco.net, and Click on “Check Your Email”
